⚠️ Important: Build-Time vs Runtime Variables

Build-time variables (NEXT_PUBLIC_*): Embedded in the JavaScript bundle at build time. Require a full rebuild to change.

Runtime variables (PDF URLs, BigQuery config): Read from Cloud Run environment variables. Can be changed anytime in the Cloud Run console without rebuilding. See UPDATE_PDF_URLS.md for details.

🚀 Quick Actions

  1. To change PDF URLs: Go to Cloud Run console → Edit & Deploy New Revision → Variables & Secrets → Add/update TERMS_PDF_URL, PRIVACY_PDF_URL, PAIA_PDF_URL
  2. To change Google Analytics ID: Run ./configure-trigger.sh and trigger a new build
  3. Initial setup: Run ./configure-trigger.sh to configure Cloud Build trigger with substitution variables
